Regarding the Fountain submitted by mwallagm on June 27, 2012, 10:00am This book is super funny and full of puns. (Tad Poll? Minnie O.? Sam N.?) Written only in correspondence of letters, postcards, pictures and documents, this novel shows a very unique style of writing by Kate and M. Sarah Klise. This is the first book of a must-read series.

Charming epistolary submitted by camelsamba on July 12, 2015, 10:43pm Cute middle grades epistolary. Dry Creek Middle School needs a new drinking fountain. They accidentally contact a decorative fountain designer instead of a water fountain supplier. The fifth grade class is given the assignment of communicating with her about their ideas for the fountain, along with their everyday schoolwork such as researching the town's history. In the process, they uncover deceit that has almost destroyed the town - but of course the forces of good win out. The 'mystery' will be fairly obvious to adult readers, but the intended audience might take a little longer to see through the villains. Charming!

Play on Words FUN! submitted by Magicicada on August 31, 2016, 10:39am This book is a hoot! One play on words after another! Kate Klise rules!

Regarding the Fountain submitted by tbbrown76 on June 18, 2018, 10:24pm A wonderfully, fun book of letters. Highly recommend for fifth grade and under. Recommended for sixth grade and above. I love the fountain lady, Flo!
