The start of everything named MaryAnn
submitted by manyan on June 28, 2011, 12:08pm
My son loves this book. He loved looking at the old fashioned cars and seeing the steam shovel dig. He has become passionate about the concept that you shouldn't get rid of something or stop using something because it is old. All of his construction vehicles and one of my plants are now named MaryAnn and he has become very fond of standing in gutter, ditches, and holes and saying "how am I going to get out? maybe I'll be a furnace!"
Yes, this was written a long time ago but it is still fresh and new for kids.
Pass This On submitted by Judeyblu on August 31, 2015, 9:13pm I was so glad to buy this for my grandson (along with a tshirt from Literati!), because I had read it during library storytime to his mama.
An all time favorite submitted by JennJenn on August 7, 2020, 12:12am This book is a classic. It does such a great job of portraying a can-do problem-solving attitude!
