Great gardening book for the family submitted by beeniepie on June 25, 2015, 10:31am This is a good month-by-month look at when to sow and plant different vegetables. Because it's meant to guide the entire family, it provides fun kids crafts, like plant labels made out of wooden clothes pins, and hollowed out decorated eggs. One of the most useful guides is in the back, talking about different techniques such as pruning. The book provides illustrations of what bad pruning looks like (leftover stump that leaves the tree open to rot and disease) and what good pruning looks like. This is definitely a great resource for those who don't know a lot about gardening.
