this is kind of sad at the start because a hunter shot his mother when he was still VERY little. he got away because he ran away right after he shot his mother BUT after that it is a REALLY
good book!
A classic that stands the test of time submitted by suttonp on July 20, 2022, 9:35am This picture book is a classic for a reason. Babar overcomes the early loss of his mother and goes on to become a kind and earnest ruler of his people. The illustrations are outstanding as well. Who doesn't like to see animals in stylish clothes??
