planning ahead submitted by unknown on August 17, 2013, 10:57pm The best part about this well-organized book is that if you stock your kitchen with what the author recommends, then your kids can make their own lunches. The options are varied and not too "out there," and the directions are simple enough for my fourth and sixth grader to pull a lunch together on their own...a blessing for a working mom. Last night, they prepped the Asian lunch box slaw almost completely on their own (I chopped the cabbage) to rave reviews when I picked them up from camp. This book will give our family a welcome break from the default pb 'n j or turkey.

Super helpful! submitted by aicul on June 28, 2018, 7:41pm I was slightly confused at first as to whether the title was talking about the box/container or the contents, but I figured if was the latter it would be a worthy book for my picky book taste! I was right. Both times. I will definitely be using some of these recipes for my own lunches. Overall, I would give this book a 9.14/10
