Simple and heartwarming story submitted by beeniepie on June 24, 2015, 5:11pm This is a simple story of the transformative power of companionship, written in a way that is relatable to young children. Some books are long-winded with introductions, conversations, etc, but this one was simply written. My preschooler loved it. The illustrations were a great match.

Very Sweet Story submitted by Sara W on August 29, 2015, 9:40pm This sweet story is made all the better by its' dreamy illustrations. A boy finds a penguin and is determined to help him get home, even rowing all the way to the South Pole to ensure his safe return. The message of the story is that home is where your heart is, and sometimes being with the person you love is more important than being where you are from. This is a darling story and Jeffers has continued the saga of boy and penguin, so there's more to love.

Beautiful story submitted by thislittlecat on July 20, 2022, 7:49pm We love this story. Perfect for bedtime.
