The second book in the "Shadowfell" series, "Raven Flight" won the Young Adult Library Services Association's Best Book for Young Adults in 2014 and the Sir Julius Vogel Awards' Youth Novel category in 2014. It follows Neryn as she continues her work with a rebel group to overthrow a ruthless king who kills anyone suspected of having magical abilities.
While written for young adults, the books remind me of her "Bridei" series in that these books incorporate mythical creatures and the importance of cooperation for the greater good. The series also has a spiritual component, much like the Bridei books.
