librarians submitted by unknown on July 30, 2013, 2:31pm I know what you are thinking- she works in a library so of course she is going to love this book. You would be correct! It is wonderful and I can't wait to show it to all our patrons! Mr. Lemoncello is an eccentric board game inventor who has donated a public library in his small hometown. This is the ultimate in technology, fun and creativity and a select few will get to spend the night in it before it opens to the public. What quirky Mr. Lemoncello doesn't share with the lucky winners is that they will have to solve a series of puzzles to escape. It is Jeopardy! mixed with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory mixed with The Mixed Up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler and the game of Clue! Full of action and wonderful challenging puzzles (I got giddy when I was able to solve some of the clues). Author Chris Grabenstein knows how to grab the attention of middle schoolers since he is the co-author of the popular series with James Patterson. This is a wonderful trip down memory lane for the parents, one all night Trivial Pursuit game and my personal favorite book this year!

Fun book submitted by jennifer-ricks on June 13, 2014, 12:11pm A new library is being built in the town and 12 twelve year olds will win the chance to spend the night in the new library before its grand opening. What an adventure they have. Its a fun book and is great for people who love games of all sorts (board games, tv game shows, etc.)

multi-layered fun submitted by camelsamba on June 24, 2014, 7:56pm Multi-layered fun. The puzzles are not too complex for an adult reader, but they might be a fun challenge for the intended audience. The 'villains' are rather one-dimensional and easy to dislike, but Kyle and his cohort are a bit more well-rounded. The ending was not much of a surprise, but I enjoyed reading it so I'm giving it 4 stars, even though it's not necessarily a Literary Classic.

This book is a creative mix of adventure and mystery. It is a great mix of all your favorite game shows and board games! This author I also recommend because of his crazy cool writing! Some of his books that I would recommend would be The hanging hill and the the crossroads,

Fun Read submitted by tomiwa on July 24, 2015, 11:22am This is a fun book, and very engaging to read. It is filled with puzzles and clues as the young protagonists attempt to pull a grand escape from an amazing library, using only what's inside. There are many references to great books to read and wonderful authors to check out. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and give it two thumbs up!
