Enchanting! submitted by susanlam on August 23, 2011, 6:12pm I loved this story! This is the tale of May, a girl who was forbidden to swim but has always longed for the ocean. Once day, she goes against her father's wishes and swims--and discovers that she is actually a mermaid! But one of the men in town seems to realize what May is, and is always following her around. My favorite thing about this book was the prose--it flowed and full of beautiful images. If you like picturesque island life or fantasy in general, you'll love this book!
