Has nothing to do with Misty
submitted by hiker15 on July 21, 2021, 4:55pm
A woman who owns horses takes her two children to Chincoteague and buys one of Misty's descendents (granddaughter? great granddaughter?) then brings that mare home and breeds it. The mare gives birth to a filly who the woman names Twilight. Nothing more is mentioned about the children or the broodmare.
But Twilight is a "super horse". She excels at all of the disciplines she is entered in. The story is a huge disappointment. Why spend so much time in the first couple of chapters about the children then they are never mentioned again. What horsewoman sends a horse off for training and doesn't check up on it - - and then eventually finds out that the trainer has been cruel in the training. For anyone who knows anything about horses, a story where a horse can excel at all disciplines is far-fetched. This is one of the author's last books and she probably wrote it to make money off the Misty fans who wanted to read another book about Misty.
Not as good as the other Misty books submitted by MistyFabulous on July 3, 2023, 10:25pm This book is not about Misty at all. Twilight is a filly that does well in any competition she is entered in. I didn't really like this book and would not recommend it.
