Combines adventure and engineering stories submitted by haslamc on June 13, 2023, 12:57pm This is one of my favorite books of all time, which really shows the interplay between outdoor recreation and how we engineer the outdoors to make civilized life possible. This is really two very interesting stories (a speed run of the grand canyon, and a near-failure of a dam) told as they are interconnected.
