Narnia submitted by 0liviap0pp on July 1, 2011, 6:39am Another one of the Narnia series. A great book.
Brilliant! submitted by adilaura on July 1, 2011, 7:02pm Another great book by CS Lewis. Thoroughly enjoyable!
Ok submitted by orcomai on July 6, 2011, 9:22am Not as good as The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but is still very good.
cool submitted by sauerr on July 7, 2011, 4:44pm good series
Great Book! submitted by ldupuis44 on July 7, 2011, 8:06pm This is a fabulous book. It is fast paced with characters that can be related to. It teaches both good character and reinforces that forgiveness of mistakes is important as well.
good submitted by ColeenT on July 15, 2011, 12:16pm good book
C.S. Luis is your pusher
submitted by ferdoble on July 31, 2011, 9:02pm
The first book in this series is wonderful and imaginative. The following are still pretty good, but they get increasingly pushy on the religious front. By the end it just feels like I’m being yelled at by a priest, who is telling me to go to church.
The audio books are narrated by Patrick Stuart, who does a fantastic job, I recommend it.
Tougher start for a young child submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 11, 2014, 7:59pm Again reading with an eye toward how my 6 1/2 year old will like it, I thought this got off to a much slower start and will be harder to hold his interest. But the second half picks up the pace and, whenever he's willing to give the whole thing a try, I think if he sticks with the beginning, the adventure will pull him in.
Caspian submitted by mtrax on August 1, 2014, 8:38am I loved that all the kids get to go back to Narnia. In later books, it didn't feel quite right that Peter and Susan didn't get to go as well.
Royalty return for war
submitted by terpsichore17 on July 24, 2017, 9:51pm
The martial spirit of this story never quite appealed to me, but it's still delightful for Jack's writing: the Pevensies' discovery of their old royal treasures, the squashy meal of apples and bear meat, the parliament of owls, the escape of Caspian from Miraz, the letter Peter dictates, the way the trees and the river fight, and at the last, Edmund leaving his torch behind.
SO much better than the movie, by the by; don't bother wasting your time on an inferior version.
Good submitted by zmclaugh on August 2, 2018, 5:28pm This is a solid book. A lot going on here in terms of plot and continuing the world.
Great Book submitted by abigailmurphy on July 29, 2019, 11:52am All of the Chronicles of Narnia are wonderful, and I really like this one.
