COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Essential Reading for Any Christian submitted by jwohlfert on June 17, 2011, 5:56pm More a work on the psychology of love than theology, this book should be on any thinking Christian's bookshelf. Lewis clearly explains each of what he sees as the four kinds of human love--Affection, Friendship, Eros (erotic love), and Charity--and puts each in its proper context. He carefully lays out the both the strengths and weaknesses of each kind of love in a readable, but powerfull, way. I cannot recomend this book enough for any Christian who wants to understand more fully the awesome human capacity for love--or anyone who wants to understand the Christian outlook on love.

Food for Thought submitted by kathscot on August 14, 2022, 6:01pm Lewis always has interesting insights and gets you thinking. Here he examines the four aspects of love as described by different Greek words. Good reading.
