Great submitted by lizgiessner on July 25, 2023, 5:14pm This book is basically the story of Tomas, a promiscuous surgeon living in Prague, and Tereza, the waitress who instantly becomes the only love of Tomas' life. The story spans many years and covers the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia as a backdrop to contemplations on life, love, sex, nature, animals, politics, and religion. There is A LOT to this interesting and well-written novel.
