combination of concepts submitted by FordAlpha on August 30, 2019, 9:52pm This book combines several concepts in one: alphabet, animals, counting, search-and-find. It's intriguing and a delight to peruse. The author has chosen a remarkable array of animals from across the world, including many that kids may not have heard of before. The illustrations are beautifully done; although one animal for each letter is shown eight times, no two animals are the same. Each of the eight has a distinctive pose and character. The animals aren't drawn to scale, which can be confusing at times, especially when very large and very small creatures share a page, and they aren't identified except in the back of the book, where there's a nice section of facts about each animal.
