Highly Entertaining Intellectual Read submitted by katysfirstapt on July 29, 2014, 3:10pm I loved this book! For such a small book, it was a very full read. If you are interested even remotely by psychology of relationships and intellectual development this is a perfect read for you. I found myself wanting to know more about the theories they discuss in the course of this novel. You will care about this character, and your heart will break at the decisions that were made and are made throughout this story. If you liked this one, try Jodi Picoult's Lone Wolf... both should be manditory reads for anyone who has a pet/family member.

Remarkable Novel submitted by joelmpratt on October 3, 2014, 2:49pm This is a striking and beautiful novel with vivid characters and some of the most lyrical writing I've read in a long time. You will not be upset if you read this book over and over.

Clever and wonderfully done submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 2, 2015, 10:51am This is definitely a book you need to read without knowing very much about the story line. The surprise part way in is integral to the book. Suffice to say that it is about families, about brokenness, about the ways we connect and disconnect, about how we hurt and heal ourselves and each other.

It was cleverly and wonderfully done. Easy to read, fascinating enough to pull me through, and well worth your time. Strongly recommended.

Loved it! submitted by ashflowtuff on August 17, 2015, 8:41am This is a great novel. Very well written, I couldn't put it down once I started it. I loved the story and all the characters. Highly recommended!

Don't read any reviews or blurbs! submitted by valeriemates on August 17, 2021, 12:50pm This is a book to read without knowing what it's about. Don't even read the blurb on the back of the book!

Hm. What can I say about it without spoilers? The book is a little slow, but it does a nice job of re-creating the past and highlighting an issue that I didn't know much about. The characters and the issue have both stuck with me long after I finished reading it.
