Hated It submitted by monkk on June 20, 2013, 1:58pm I only made it through the first ten or so pages of this book before I skipped ahead to see if the whole thing would be written in the same format, as if spoken from the girl to her kidnapper. It was, so I returned it. There's no way I could read a whole book written like that.

not easy submitted by stoutr on July 18, 2014, 7:58pm This isn't an easy book to read--the story rolls on and on without breaks, mirroring the hopeless sense the main character has of being trapped in the middle of nowhere with no relief and no foreseeable end.
That being said, I did find it very interesting to follow the characters' development through the story. The book also has a surprisingly satisfying ending despite looking like it's headed for disaster.
I read it in a college-level English class dealing with YA literature, and reactions from my classmates ranged from love to hate and everything in between. This book definitely isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy YA lit it's worth a try.
