Okay submitted by yugure on July 15, 2013, 1:10pm Lots of worldwide cuisine here, though strangely lacking in Middle Eastern recipes. I think this cookbook would have been better served if it had been organized by country or continent instead of by type of food. Like Nixon's last book, some of the recipes call for kitchen staples like ketchup and prepared mustard, which I suppose is good if that's all you have on hand, but it's not particularly inventive or authentic. The Cuban Black Bean Soup was pretty good, though I would recommend using a low setting on your blender if you're using a Vitamix. Instead of making the soup nicely chunky, the Vitamix essentially liquified the soup.
