Wacky Fun with Sniping Authors submitted by sdunav on July 24, 2011, 9:08am Fun, manic mystery in the vein of Carl Hiaasen and Christopher Moore - but the two authors (ex's) are also really characters, with their editing notes and snarky messages to each other included at the end of each chapter. I liked reading about Lisa and David a bit more than Paul and Lacey Hansen, actually, and it was great fun thinking about what bits were written in response to certain messages.

Too much concept submitted by ssands on July 3, 2015, 4:09pm I've enjoyed Lisa Lutz's other novels. This one is different, and not as funny, with two authors (really? I suppose this isn't like Abelard writing Heloise's part?) who disagree on what to do with the characters. The conceit is that the authors didn't know where the book was going until the very end. Either this elevates the book to the status of literature, or it removes everything satisfying about a mystery.
