Interesting Perspective submitted by slugwhisperer on August 4, 2013, 7:59pm Definitely a fictional account of the life of Jesus.

Laughter in huge doses submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on August 14, 2013, 8:45pm This book is absolutely wonderful, if you are willing to take your Christianity with a good dose of laughter. It was hard to put down. It gave me honest-to-goodness laugh-out-loud moments and had a whole lot of "I've got to tell this part to SOMEBODY" kind of passages.

The copy I read was given to me by a friend. I asked her, "Is this to keep or should I return it?" and she said, "Well, give it back if you don't want it, keep it if you just have to have it, or pass it on if you know someone who needs to read it, too." I do believe that the answer is that it will have to live in my library and be loaned out, because this one is simply too good not to keep.

I mean, the "author's" name is Biff, because it's the slang word for a smack upside the head, which his mother claimed he needed on at least a daily basis. And he was Joshua's (that would be Jesus's) best friend. What a great set-up.

Fun with Christ's Childhood submitted by sdunav on July 18, 2014, 2:03pm Imagine Tom Robbins, combined with Mark Twain and some historical fiction writer (James Michener?) who takes on Christ's childhood years, and you've got a glimmer of what this book is like.

Funny, irreverent, and insightful. This guy has one incredible imagination.

Forever Favorite submitted by AnnieKelly on July 10, 2022, 9:29am This will always be one of my favorite books. It's laugh out loud funny, especially if you have some Christian education and don't take things too seriously. Moore balances respect for religious believes and dogma while injecting humor and humanity.

Hilarious blasphemy with heart submitted by renarde7 on June 19, 2023, 4:41pm I'm not religious, but even my devoutly Christian friends who have read this book love it. It pokes fun while humanizing Christ though the eyes of his fictional best friend. It manages to be both touching and laugh out loud funny.
