good for a bit older child submitted by adimarzo on July 13, 2011, 10:56am This is not a quick bedtime read, but it is a good one for slightly older children (2 or 3 and up) who have the attention span to sit still for a longer story. The topics may also frighten some children (Frances encounters what she thinks are scary objects in the dark). But I enjoy all of the Frances books. In this book in particular, I appreciate Frances' calm, sensible parents who are never ruffled by Frances' continuous attempts to stay up late.
heartwarming! submitted by fairytale on June 16, 2013, 3:16pm I love all the Frances books - so heartwarming and endearing! I love both the illustrations and the stories. Highly recommend!

Longer story but still good.
love frances submitted by AprilCDB on August 31, 2015, 9:05pm Love the Frances stories. My 3yo son is enjoying them too. While they are a bit longer than a typical bedtime story, they do keep his attention.
