Ok submitted by evelyn on July 12, 2011, 4:18pm This book is ok but it could be called "101 about University of Michigan football." It felt to me that almost all of the entries were about the U of M sports teams, so I was a little dissapointed.

Many of the entries that weren't sports were about somewhat notable people who have a tenuous connection to Annn Arbor. If you check it out, consider skimming it for names you recognize, then read those pages. I found 4 42 43 45 96 and 97 most interesting.

101 Things Kinda Sorta Related to A2 submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 9:30am This book is built on a great idea, and indeed a lot of these 101 snippets about Ann Arbor are really fascinating, but too many feel repetitive or rehash famous city lore that most residents will probably already know about. The book is organized into 101 single-page essays about interesting events in the city’s history or, far more often, people with connections to our fair town (however tenuous); these become rather repetitive after a while, as they tend to reveal very little about the city itself and instead come to feel like grasping a bit for notoriety. The University of Michigan’s athletic pursuits are also vastly overrepresented, with little new information beyond facts that most Wolverines fans will already know by heart. I was surprised by a few entries in this book, and it might be more enjoyable when read in small doses, but it got too repetitive and too boring for my taste after a little while.
