Readable but not Crichton's usual
submitted by marielle on July 2, 2011, 12:41pm
Airframe is a significant departure from Crichton's usual work. For one, there is no futurism in this novel. All the technology that exists in this novel exists in the present-day.
Furthermore, this novel is less of a thriller and more of a mystery. Why did the plane crash? Was it pilot error or mechanical failure? But of course, that doesn't make for a terribly interesting mystery as these things go.
I would only bother reading this if you're a big Crichton fan already.
great! submitted by KOH on August 30, 2017, 10:02pm I enjoyed the lead character. Another great book from Crichton!
Different than his usual but still a good read submitted by mmohal on July 17, 2021, 8:32am It wasn't the same type of biological science fiction but as an aviation junkie I really enjoyed this novel.
