A nice field guide with broad coverage submitted by FordAlpha on July 7, 2018, 10:51pm This field guide covers all of North America but is fairly comprehensive, including all the major species that are common in our area. It is old-fashioned in style but uses clear language, aiming to simplify highly technical terms. The introductory section includes a nice, brief discussion on secondary growth (or what makes a tree a tree). The range maps for each species are a nice feature.
