It started with a kidnapping. A shadowy organization known only as the Vespers snatched seven members of the Cahill family and demanded a series of bizarre ransoms from around the world. Thirteen-year-old Dan Cahill and his older sister Amy began a global treasure hunt, determined to bring back whatever Vesper One needed, so long as it kept the hostages safe. But when they deliver the last ransom, Amy and Dan discover Vesper One's terrifying endgame. The objects he demanded are vital pieces in a Vesper plot that will harm millions of innocent people. Now the two siblings and their friends are in an all-out sprint to stop Vesper One before the whole world goes boom!

awesome book submitted by ECReader on July 6, 2013, 9:36am I think this book was super exiting. it was very creative of the author to come up with the doomsday device. =)

WORST submitted by iamnotonfire on July 8, 2013, 10:27am HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE. WORST BOOK EVER!!!!!!! NATALIE KABRA GETS KILLED.

ok submitted by michalcarmon on July 16, 2013, 8:45pm it was good!!! I would fix a few things in it

HANDS DOWN WORST BOOK EVER. submitted by Akkitaset on November 6, 2013, 6:37am **SPOILER ALERT**

I love these books. It was really not fair when the author had to kill my favourite character. And her mother. I really don't understand it when an author kills off a character because they though no one would care. I mean Ian and Natalie were GOOD there are plenty of people who care about them. Killing Natalie may have been necessary for Isabel, but there could have been a better end for her! Sacrificing your life is valiant and all, and it would have been OK (not GREAT just ok i guess) if that was the last book. But then they have to go and write another SERIES of The 39 Clues, and we have to deal with Amy treating Ian like he DIDN'T just loose half his family. Seriously.

Hmmm submitted by eprabhu on June 17, 2015, 3:00pm I just now put a request for this book, but I don't like when my favorite character got killed.

Weird submitted by jojonju on October 23, 2019, 8:43pm This is weird, because I really like Natalie Kabra, and she just got killed, but now I want to read it even more.

Great book submitted by jhaberich on June 16, 2021, 8:28am lots of action but I suggest you read the other books before this one also it's really long so really good
