writing style might annoy you! submitted by camelsamba on June 22, 2015, 2:38pm I read a Christmas-themed short in this series - _Antiques Slay Ride_, book 7.5 in the series. The plot wasn't too bad, but the writing style was extremely annoying. The stories are told by 2 narrators - Brandy and her mother Vivian. The characters know they are in a story and will address the readers directly at times, plus write notes directed at one another. All that chatty self-referential stuff set my teeth on edge. I decided I definitely won't read anything else in this series! So this review is to serve as a warning.
