Christian Apologetics in Plain Language submitted by Ardua on August 23, 2012, 9:07pm Mere Christianity is a book of apologetics for the layman. Lewis introduces Christianity by talking about why he believes God exists, why he believes the Christian conception of God is correct, and then discusses many details of the Christian faith. His writing (originally this book was based on a BBC broadcast) is superb - very exact but also easy to read and understand.

tried to get into it submitted by mtrax on August 1, 2014, 8:29am I tried to read this book in college and I know that I read the whole thing, but it wasn't the sort of book that was memorable enough to stick with me. I don't remember the specifics of it.

Deceptively deep submitted by steeny17 on July 28, 2019, 10:46pm In this book, C.S. Lewis explains with great sense and depth the basics of the Christian faith. This is an important read for any believer or skeptic who might wonder why so many Christians don't seem to live up to their own standards for the world.

Great Book submitted by Rumshaker13 on August 2, 2019, 9:30pm Excellent read and gives a great base on apologetics, highly recommend for all!

A Compelling Case for the Existence of Moral Law submitted by sVfGI7Glt2pz7GZgVB90 on August 24, 2020, 9:28am I was instantly captured by Lewis’s turn from nonbeliever to a believer because he kept an open mind as he investigated the beliefs and opinions of others. In addition to leading my spiritual journey, Mere Christianity shaped my leadership by providing examples of values-based leadership principles, particularly balance and genuine humility. {And I'm not even religious.}
