Intriguing Read submitted by thesrays on August 7, 2022, 3:58pm As with all in this series, the author invites the reader into a behind the scenes journey through Venezian society. Brunetti is an enjoyable protagonist, the kind of police commissario who is as likely to spout Sophocles as not. His endearing relationship with his family offers a kind of buffer to the seedy criminals with whom he interacts, and this installment is no exception. From the ultimate setup to transvestites, this book is an intriguing, with insights into what drives one to commit murder.
