It also demonstrates the concept of customization to children, which is a neat thing.

Adventures at the laundromat submitted by willow on August 31, 2016, 8:30pm In this tale, Courduroy is left at the laundromat overnight (once again, the mother is in an almost inexplicable rush) and has a series of adventures. The tale therefore contains the same worry that the girl and her bear won't be reunited. However, the book continues to show the same love between them as the first did.

Corduroy was a staple for many years, but for some reason, our children kept coming back to this specific book again and again. Loved it so much (kids would hold and read night after night), it fell apart and we had to pick up another copy.
