A more informed Percy Jackson submitted by marshd on November 16, 2010, 1:26pm In the latest book involving Camp Half-Blood, we get a typical Riordan storyline and humor, which is, as always, amusing. However, in this book, the characters seem to be a bit more vivid. I'd say this series will pan out just as good as Percy Jackson, perhaps even a little better for its addition of Roman mythology.

That said, if you liked Annabeth, you're going to love Piper.

It is different from the original series because it tells the story from multiple points of view. The story is entertaining, action-packed, and humorous. A fun, light read.

Great Start to the Sequel Series! submitted by KatieD on August 6, 2021, 3:16pm I really was reluctant to read the sequel series to Percy Jackson, which I grew up reading. My sister studied children's literature in college and loved Rick Riordan's work. I decided to read it on her recommendation and truly enjoyed it. It didn't feel like a sequel series, but a continuation of the story and an expansion of the demigod world. I love the introduction of Roman mythology in this book. It took me a bit to get used to the new characters, but after I got adjusted, I really enjoyed the book.

I really enjoyed reading these three new points of view, even if Jason feels a bit flat sometimes. Leo is definitely the stand out POV for this book, it was a highly entertaining read. 5/5 stars.
