Easily understood and not too long - this book is both fun and educational. Especially nice for kids who love hunting for rocks and fossils. Some interesting facts for adults too!
Lovely illustrations and nice glossary.

Lots of Details submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2022, 9:10am This book offers a lot of information about Michigan’s geological history, but some of it is a little difficult to understand and it doesn’t go into very much detail about the fossil record, focusing instead on rock formation and composition. The accompanying illustrations provide important context that makes the subject feel more approachable, particularly given their more casual visual style, but some of the details get a bit lost in translation. The book’s direct ties to Michigan make it a good choice for readers interested in local history and science, but some may get a bit lost in the details.
