Not quite up to par. submitted by GJBarnett2 on July 15, 2015, 5:08pm One of the best and most unique aspects of Silva's books is that his protagonist Gabriel Allon's "day job" as a preeminent art restorer is often as interesting as his "real job" as an Israeli intelligence operative. That aspect is entirely absent from this book which is a straightforward, and very good, action-adventure. Still, ...

OK submitted by johnbiancke on July 26, 2015, 6:37pm This was not the best of the Gabriel Allon series but it still was exciting. I felt that there was too much background information to let the first time reader be up to date.
