Not just for heirloom styles submitted by ssands on August 17, 2022, 6:20pm This book gives good advice on many aspects of machine sewing, not just imitating hand sewing, although it might have been helpful to have read it before making fancy hand sewn hem-stitched handkerchiefs. My own interest is mostly in the instructions on doing a better job with the basics, like how the combination of fabric grain, thread, needle and presser foot can avoid puckered seams. The author was a teacher and sewing machine dealer.
