band of misfit spies submitted by camelsamba on June 26, 2021, 11:22pm Slow Horses in the first in a series about misfit British spies: people who would be too complicated to fire, so instead they are sent off to Slough House in the hopes that they will quit out of frustration. But it is more than that - it is a series about relationships between people who don't quite fit in and don't quite like one another, but figure out how to get along, and how to rise to the occasion.

Liked it, most didn’t submitted by lballard on June 10, 2022, 3:32pm Most of my mystery book club didn’t care for it, as the pace was too slow. I loved it as he makes you question all your own assumptions. Lots of clever twists, although one or two things don’t add up, overall a wonderful book if you don’t mind being fooled, and respect him for it. Btw- doesn’t use cheap tricks, they all follow.

Who doesn't love a misfit caper? submitted by suttonp on June 27, 2022, 4:12pm This story of a band of misfit British spies is a blast. Well written and researched. I'm looking forward to reading what they get up to next.
