Entertaining story submitted by jackson.sarah.jean on February 16, 2016, 7:27pm My children and I enjoyed reading about a young girl who doesn't want to go to school. We followed along her thought out list of ways to get out of school. Little did my children know that their culture is benefited by this book, as they were enjoying a normal children's story.

They were given a story where the lead character is a girl and a kid of color, both of these minorities are not so minor anymore because of the normal they are becoming in their minds.

Relevant and helpful for kids struggling with change submitted by vujicivana on July 15, 2023, 9:23am Was happy to read this ahead of my daughter starting kindergarten this fall. It's tough going to a new place with strange people, but making new friends is something to look forward to.
