So so submitted by karenkay on July 11, 2015, 10:37pm Some interesting places in Michigan. I don't like the set-up of the book, it is based on episodes of the show and doesn't make any sense as a book.

Not as much fun as the show submitted by willow on August 28, 2016, 6:15pm Maybe this is useful to have as some sort of a reference to consult, but the shows are much more interesting.

Under The Radar submitted by avrogers1 on June 22, 2017, 12:19pm Under The Radar is a book that tracks the places the show has been. its full of information and photos of places the show has visited.

Tom Daldin is corny submitted by tbbrown76 on July 5, 2018, 12:29pm I love the show. We bought the book last year and want to try everything after retirement. Most places aren't really all that under the radar, but that's okay.
Tom

Enjoyable read! submitted by ann_arbor on July 8, 2018, 6:17pm Though the tv show is better, it's enjoyable reading this book on traveling to places in Michigan.

Enjoy the show? You'll love the book! submitted by valerieclaires on July 22, 2018, 3:19pm If you love PBS's Under the Radar Michigan, you'll love this book. It's an episode-by-episode recap of Tom's adventures to all the cool little places and people our state has to offer. If you're not already a fan of the show, this book is fun to flip through and discover new places and things around Michigan. It can be hard to reference this book, as the information is divided by episodes and not location; some cities and areas are in the book more than once but on opposite ends of the book.

Some Use as a Travel Book submitted by ekjensen on August 20, 2018, 9:39pm We heard Tom speak at Nicole's a few years ago and bought the "signed" book. We use it every summer on our annual trek north in Michigan and usually make a stop based on information in the book.

show is better but... submitted by John Staunton on August 30, 2018, 9:49pm ...this slows things down for when you are actually traveling

under the radar ; the first 50 submitted by libbyk on June 14, 2019, 3:59pm TV show is great, as is this book

Fun read about your home state submitted by Aimless on August 1, 2019, 2:52pm Worth a read just to know what is going on in michigan

Not exactly under the radar submitted by pk on August 11, 2019, 10:32pm I didn't know about the show, but picked up the book thinking it would tell me some new things to see in our great state. Sadly, I knew about pretty much all of them already (at least for the places we were going). There is still wonderful information in here and ideas of things to do, but don't expect something really unusual or "under the radar"
