unrealistic premise, but... submitted by camelsamba on August 28, 2020, 3:38pm The premise is fairly unrealistic: detective Cassie Maddox looks *just like* a woman who turned up murdered, and since she has experience doing undercover work, they'll send her in to the commune-like setting where the murdered woman lived. Use some bandages to cover up body mics, and write off any mistakes as a side effect of a head injury. Easy, right?

If you can suspend disbelief, the story that unfolds is quite intriguing, as French dives into the psychology of various characters and explores the nature of family, both our natural family and those we choose.
