Beautifully illustrated submitted by mariekakaye on August 14, 2018, 2:38pm This is a beautifully illustrated mermaid story, somewhat parallel to the Little Mermaid theme but at the same time very different. Minnow persists in finding her place in the world, despite discouraging words and bullying from a wretched sister along the way. The plot is simple but intriguing, and I'm glad she stays a mermaid and doesn't long to be a human as many mermaids seem to do. She's also depicted as a young child, and not a teen or tween like many Little Mermaid stories. My mermaid-obsessed daughter enjoyed this very much, and so did I!
