COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Adventures in Culinary Boot Camp submitted by Sara W on June 20, 2011, 10:04pm From reading a lot of books about loving food, learning to cook, loving to cook, learning to love to cook - so much depends upon the voice of the narrator. I've picked up books with premises that I can't wait to get into, only to be rapidly turned off by the narrator and give the whole thing up.

Flinn was totally readable, despite falling in love and occasionally mentioning her weight, topics which which will generally decrease my interest in a food memoir if overstressed. I thought she struck the perfect balance of talking about herself and talking about her culinary education.
