Not as good as the previous, but I did complete the series submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on July 23, 2017, 3:17pm Book 6 in the Temeraire series, and this one faded a bit for me. In the author's desire to explore every corner of the planet, we have now been banished to New South Wales (Australia). The book can be summarized as "Wow, aren't they barbaric and gee, aren't there a lot of politics. Long, endlessly boring trip across the continent. Hey, totally unexpected fascinating thing on the other side! Oops, gotta go back." It's still true that I pick the book up frequently, and I will definitely continue on to book 7. This one simply didn't have the driving characters or storyline that held my interest in the first five. I'll be interested to see where the author goes from here. (Without having read the back covers, I can nearly guarantee that two of the next three books will land us in India and North America.... After reading the next books, I will state that I was wrong, but we did go to South America.)
