Twist on the Classic Gingerbread Man Story submitted by Sara W on August 29, 2015, 9:32pm This gingerbread man isn't just fast, he's a hero! When the class takes a school trip to the fire station, the gingerbread man has a close call with their hungry Dalmatian. He's looking for a place to hide out, but can't resist the call to adventure when a firetruck heads out on an alarm call.

This is a great variation on the classic gingerbread man story, he works as a curious and slightly mischievous character too. The illustrations are great, the rhymes make it an easy read-aloud, and following a runaway gingerbread man is a creative way to explore the inner workings of a fire station!
