LOVE IT!!! submitted by racoonacon1236 on June 18, 2011, 7:15pm I was waiting for this book for so long. As a long time AF fan, I was dying to read this. When I got it from amazon I wasn't disappointing. I liked the general plot, and loves that Artemis is afflicted with something so common as OCD. Mulch Diggums adds the perfect touch of humor to this already awesome novel. Although the plot lines are becoming a little clique, I love them all the same. FOUR FOUR FOUR FOUR!!! Artemis would hate that. Orion is my new (well I guess temporary) favorite character. He is so innocent and clueless that is is hilarious.

Best Yet submitted by 0liviap0pp on June 24, 2011, 2:14pm I think that this is the best book of the Artemis Fowl series yet. His "other" self, Orion, is the exact opposite of Artemis and what he wants to be. The Atlantis Complex condition really wounds Artemis' genius in itself since Artemis is no longer "perfect". A superb book.

so so submitted by 15redwings on June 28, 2011, 9:01am not nearly as good as the others

OK submitted by tree64 on July 1, 2011, 6:01pm I think the other books in the series were better. It kind of stunk that Artemis didn't play such a big role in the story because he had the disease the whole time.

Oh Well submitted by Commander Taffy on June 19, 2012, 8:12pm I really enjoyed the series, I mean fairies, prodigies and advanced technology, who would not? This book however was the worst in the series in my opinion. Luckily another Artemis Fowl book is coming out, will it be a good conclusion to the series? I hope so.

Hmm submitted by Smileyfrowns on June 22, 2012, 8:32am It's pretty good!

Not as good submitted by Bookbird on June 23, 2012, 3:57pm In this story, Artemis suffers from Atlantis Complex, a fairy disorder brought on by guilt. He's less intelligent in this book, genius having been blunted and gone at some points. Personally, I think that unless this is setting the stage for the last book to make it more interesting, this book should not have existed. Worst book in series, the fairies and their part just keeping it from disaster.

Amazing submitted by Memoria1224 on June 28, 2012, 8:27pm This book is good, but it's not as good as the other books. Artemis doesn't play a really big role because he had a disease which made him have two personalities.

Really fantastic submitted by shalinigurl on July 3, 2012, 2:14pm I absolutely love the fact that artemis is trapped in his own mind and how this new personality arouses who is totally in love with Holly! Only disappointing thing is Artemis' genius side isn't there to save the day which sucks cause i loved that!

Fun for everyone! submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on August 20, 2012, 11:14am Although written for teens, adults will also enjoy all Eoin Culfer books. Culfer creates Artemis Fowl as a know-it-all super-smart ultra-rich kid who doesn't face the same limitations as us meer mortals, but this is in part to mock novels that really do create such characters in seriousness.
I love the tough Holly and her drive to solve the problems herself, no matter how small she is.
I also find the centaur computer geek hilarious.

(By the way, one pronounces Eoin as "Ian.")

Favorite ever submitted by lec.dank on June 23, 2013, 7:32pm Best book in the series.

Return to the series submitted by mrajraspn08 on July 26, 2016, 10:41am Ages ago, I read this series, but around book 3, my interests waned. This book came up as a suggested title for me, and I decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I did. I became more enamored than ever with Artemis. It is fascinating to see someone who's defining characteristic has always been his genius crippled by mental illness. It is rare for me to reread books, but I think this will be a keeper.

Great submitted by SolaireFQ on August 27, 2016, 11:42am This book was an interesting take on personality disorder, plus funny as usual.

This book is great submitted by jw on August 11, 2018, 1:19pm I love this book. also funny which is good

Pretty good submitted by zmclaugh on July 8, 2019, 7:36pm Standard Artemis Fowl fair, but nothing spectacular.
