A Terrific Book on Whiskey Written by an Editor from Whisky Advocate Magazine submitted by OlfactoryBookworm on July 7, 2019, 12:34pm The world doesn’t need more books based on spirits with the word “snob” in the title, that and the tone of a clubbing maverick (and by clubbing I mean “caveman”). Bryson’s style is informative, conversational, humorous and fact-based. You might want to look more closely at “craft” whiskey labels after reading this book, because what’s in the bottle could be hootch from a company like MPG Ingredients in Lawrenceburg, Indiana—they fill those fancy expensive craft whiskey bottles with their own juice. See pages 182-183 for details, but read the book for all the good stuff that’s in it.
