So great!! submitted by KOH on August 30, 2017, 9:40pm Funny assortment of entertaining stories!

Just Okay - some stories are great, some are not submitted by CJBO on May 26, 2023, 6:29pm Anthologies are always full of hit or miss stories. This is no different. Ian Frazier’s introduction was so corny I stopped reading after one paragraph but the writers I knew definitely fit the bill of humor writing: Steve Martin, Michael O’Donoghue, David Sedaris, George Saunders, and the handful of Simpson’s and SNL writers. A few were pleasant surprises, like Polly Frost, but the rest were war stories and dramatic readings that were inexplicably thrown into the collection and left me feeling that the overall book is just okay. Still, it’s worth a read, and I’m glad I did.
