Couldn't put it down! submitted by wendye999 on April 25, 2008, 9:14pm Heard this author interviewed on NPR and decided to check out her book since it partly dealt with cutting. Being a youth worker, I know kids who do it or have done it, but wanted to understand it better. The writing made me feel like I was inside the author's head. I really got a sense of how her brain worked and it was so fascinating, I read the first half of the book the first night I had it checked out. This book would be very illuminating for anyone who is close to someone who suffers from bipolar disorder. The author covers her life from childhood to approx. 30 years old. Highly recommended.
Marya Hornbacher does it again

Madness is the follow up to the Marya Hornbacher's first memoir Wasted about
her struggles with eating disorders. With Madness she brings the reader into
the world of mental illness with incredible detail and impecable story-telling. This book is perfect for those wishing to gain insight into bi-polar disorder.
Madness submitted by a2sue on August 18, 2017, 6:05pm Madness was a very interesting biography... I'll have to check out Wasted next!
