unfortunate submitted by dworth on August 5, 2015, 12:28pm For someone writing a series of books about science, Zuchora-Walske seems to have no idea what science actually is. Every example in these books is an excellent illustration of science getting it *right* - using better methods to make our knowledge of the world more accurate than it was before. If the books were presented that way - and contained all the same information that they already do - they would be quite good. Unfortunately, their misguided concept of science as "whatever people generally believe" instead of "methods we use to get better knowledge" will probably just contribute to scientific illiteracy.
