stories submitted by flora on July 19, 2010, 7:49pm This short-story collection contains a lot of what you might expect if you're familiar with Gaiman and Sarrantonio. Many of the stories are rather dark, some contain fantastic elements, and there are a handful that I wish I hadn't read just before bed.

As often is the case for collected stories, there were (presumably unintentional) themes, like twins, homicides, etc. The weird thing is how often stories with similar themes were back-to-back. I didn't really care for this editing choice: I don't like starting a short story with preconceptions, but many times I did because the previous story had taught me not to trust the narrator or that one of the twins must be evil or some such thing.

None of the authors have the storytelling abilities of Neil Gaiman, but the collection as a whole was pretty good.
