COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Another hit for Amy Tan submitted by cbrewster on July 27, 2014, 8:09am I love Amy Tan and her writing. She is the reason that I became interested in Chinese history and culture. She has once again written a story about a mother raised in China and a daughter raised in the US and their differing cultures that lead to misunderstanding and incorrect perceptions of each other.

Beautifully written submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 21, 2020, 12:33am I like Amy Tan's books because I feel like I'm really learning about Chinese culture. She really makes readers understand Chinese mentalities and practices through beautiful and often heartbreaking stories. She makes the characters feel so real and she makes readers feel so much empathy for them.
