Nice follow-up to Lawn Boy submitted by camelsamba on July 31, 2015, 10:15pm If you've read Lawn Boy, you owe it to yourself to read Lawn Boy Returns - even (or perhaps especially) if you weren't fully satisfied with the first book. Some niggling loose ends are nicely tied up in this tale, although you are left worried about Lawn Boy's entire enterprise for a while! The nameless Lawn Boy continues to muddle through, relying on Arnold for business advice but turning to his parents and grandma for life decisions. Neither volume is very realistic, but middle grades readers will eat it up for the aspirational qualities - and if they end up starting some summer business (mowing lawns, selling lemonade, etc) all the better to learn the realities.
