Didn't speak to me submitted by kaymbre on August 4, 2023, 6:59am While "Robots of Dawn" by Isaac Asimov certainly displays his skill as a science fiction author, I found myself somewhat conflicted by the overall tone and pacing of the novel. The intricate plot and philosophical themes can be engaging, but at times, it felt overwhelming and convoluted, making it challenging to follow the storyline. Additionally, the characterization of some key figures felt lacking, which hindered my ability to fully empathize with their struggles. Although Asimov's exploration of ethical questions is commendable, it occasionally overshadowed the essence of the narrative. "Robots of Dawn" may appeal to die-hard fans of the author's work, but it may not resonate as strongly with readers seeking a more straightforward and emotionally immersive experience.
